Pre-Anaesthetic Assessment Clinic (PAC)
The PAC aims at identifying potential problems, arranging investigations, referring to specialists for advice and/or treatment, choosing options for analgesia in labor, planning the procedure and be prepared for special requirements (e.g. latex-free equipment, extra staff, intensive care bed).
The patient also gets an idea about the surgery, gets the doubts cleared and becomes more stable before the surgery.
Obstetrical Anesthesia
Obstetrical anesthesia can be performed during labor, vaginal delivery, cesarean delivery, removal of retained placenta and postpartum tubal ligation.
We have a fully equipped Obstetric Critical Care unit for high risk mothers requiring ventilator, cardiac, renal, hepatic system support.
Our anesthesiologists have extensive experience in high-risk pregnancies. Before suggesting obstetrical anesthesia, we make sure to check if the patient has complex medical problems like serious heart or lung conditions.
Epidural Analgesia
Epidural analgesia is also called regional anesthesia. It helps in pain free labor experience & makes the birth experience comfortable.
More than 70% of our patients choose regional (typically epidural) anesthesia for labor. Many of our patients come back for a subsequent pain-less & comfortable delivery.
